Moving Forward On a Bright Sunny Day

We are happy to report that with the sun comes our new floor.  At 7:00 AM this morning the contractor arrived, by the time we say our tefilah upon exiting from the sukkah we expect the floor and the steps to the basement to be finished......................

Because you asked---Seating Capacity

Q: What is the seating capacity of the new building?


The new building's dimensions are 42' x 80'. In addition to the sanctuary, on the main floor there will be a new men's room, a new coat room and new lobby. We currently estimate seating capacity to be 250-300 persons. The final count will be determined by several factors including the size of and location of the bimah as well as the ultimate type and size of the seating we use.

UPDATE: Construction Update (Sep.12.10)

We hope you enjoyed what was, G-d willing, ECDP's last Rosh HaShana in our existing sanctuary.


The steel, joists and decking have been completed and the steel for the stairs is partially in place. Before Yom Kippur we intend, with G-d's help, to finish the stairs, complete the deck edging that forms the pan for the concrete and then pour concrete for the deck. 


The subsequent steps relate to the roof:  we will locate the openings for the skylights, add the curbs and install the supports for air conditioning and heating units that will be mounted on the roof.
